Many parents discover their child’s gaps in mathematics when it’s too late to do something about it. As with anything else, the earlier in a child’s development that you begin to work on something—be it sports, music, or math—the stronger grasp of the subject the child has. In today’s global world, a solid math foundation is important for not just acing standardized tests and getting into top universities; but is also crucial for empowering young minds to think, reason, and later compete for a variety of sought-after careers with their international peers
Mathematics is not just a discipline in itself; it is inter-connected to better understanding of all other disciplines. A robust foundation in Math can lead to appreciation of the power it carries and gives at the same time. Educational surveys have found that students are most likely to escape from mathematics as a compulsory subject and do not want to explore it. Therefore, it is the need of the hour to support our future generation by developing curiosity in possibly the most important and relevant subject and by helping them accept the fact that Math is not a scary discipline.
The competition questions are appropriate for the students’ age, are interesting and challenging. It perhaps provides a more fair and accurate way of assessing a candidate, as all applicants will be given a standardised test. The test is developed by math professionals with decades of experience to ensure that only the most relevant is delivered. Preparing for the test is not a burden as its syllabus is less advanced that other Olympiad competitions and students can compete without any special training or advanced knowledge.
